ਇੱਕ ਅੱਤ ਦੁਖਦਾਈ ਘਟਨਾ, ਜਿਸਨੇ ਸਭ ਨੂੰ  ਅੰਦਰੋਂ ਝਿੰਜੋੜ ਕੇ ਰੱਖ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਹੁਸ਼ਿਆਰਪੁਰ ਦੇ ਟਾਂਡੇ ਨੇੜਲੇ ਪਿੰਡ ਸਲੇਮਪੁਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਗਰੀਬ ਪਰਵਾਸੀ ਮਜ਼ਦੂਰ ਦੀ ਧੀ ਨਾਲ ਓਸੇ ਪਿੰਡ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ 2 ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਬਲਾਤਕਾਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਨੇ ਅਤੇ ਫਿਰ ਇਸ ਡਰੋਂ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਜਵਾਕੜੀ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਸੇ ਨਾ, ਉਸ ਮਾਸੂਮ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਗ ਲਾ ਕੇ ਸਾੜ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਨੇ। ਜਦੋਂ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਏਧਰ ਓਧਰ ਭਾਲ ਕਰਦਾ ਤਾਂ ਓਦੋਂ ਪਤਾ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਕਿ ਕੁੜੀ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਗ ਲੱਗ ਗਈ। ਇਸ ਪਾਪ ਬਾਰੇ ਸੁਣਕੇ ਕਾਲਜਾ ਮੂੰਹ ਨੂੰ ਆ ਗਿਆ, ਕਿ ਇੱਕ ਬੱਚੀ ਨੂੰ ਨੋਚਕੇ, ਸਾੜਕੇ ਮਾਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਰਿਸ਼ਤੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਾਦਾ-ਪੋਤਾ ਨੇ। ਅਜੇ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਪੂਰੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਹਿਲਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਾਥਰਸ ਕਾਂਡ ਦਾ ਦੁੱਖ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ ਭੁੱਲਿਆ, ਜਿਹਦੇ 'ਚ ਪੂਰੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਨਾਲ ਅਸੀਂ ਪੰਜਾਬੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਬੈਨਰ ਪੋਸਟਰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਸੜਕਾਂ ਤੇ ਆ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਧੀ ਲਈ ਇਨਸਾਫ ਮੰਗਿਆ ਸੀ।  ਓਦੋਂ ਸ਼ਾਇਦ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਪੱਕਾ ਯਕੀਨ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਇਹੋ ਜਿਹਾ ਘਿਨੌਣਾ ਕਾਰਾ ਤਾਂ ਪੰਜਾਬੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਹੀ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੋਏਗਾ, ਸਾਡੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ 'ਚ ਨਹੀਂ।
ਪਰ, ਅਫਸੋਸ ਕਿ ਸਾਡਾ ਮਾਣ ਟੁੱਟਦੇ ਦੇਰ ਨਾ ਲੱਗੀ।
ਆਪਣੇ ਜਵਾਕ ਦੇ ਪੋਟੇ ਤੇ ਕੁਝ ਗ਼ਰਮ ਲੱਗ ਕੇ ਛਾਲਾ ਪੈ ਜਾਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਅਸੀਂ 100 ਤਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਓਹੜ ਪੋਹੜ ਕਰਦੇ ਆ, ਪਰ ਉਸ ਫੁੱਲ ਭਰ ਬਾਲੜੀ ਨੂੰ ਨੋਚਣ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਕਿਹੋ ਜਿਹਾ ਜੇਰਾ ਹੋਏਗਾ, ਜਿੰਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਚੰਦ ਘੜੀਆਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੱਸਦੀ ਖੇਡਦੀ ਜਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਤੀਲੀ ਲਾਈ ਹੋਊ।
ਸ਼ਰਮ ਆਉਣੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਕੌਮ ਦੇ ਵਾਰਿਸ ਕਹਿਣ ਤੇ ਜੋ ਬਿਗਾਨੀਆਂ ਧੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਛੁਡਾ ਕੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਘਰੋ-ਘਰੀ ਪਹੁੰਚਾ ਕੇ ਆਉਂਦੇ ਸੀ ।
ਪਰ ਅੱਜ ਕੋਈ ਗਰੀਬ ਰੋਜ਼ੀ ਰੋਟੀ ਖ਼ਾਤਰ ਸਾਡੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਆਇਆ ਤੇ ਏਥੇ ਵੀ ਉਸਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਦਰਿੰਦੇ ਪੈ ਗਏ। 
 ਮੁਸ਼ਕਿਲ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਵਹਿਮ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਕਿ ਗਰੀਬ ਨਾਲ ਕਿਹੜਾ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੇ ਖੜਨਾ,
ਓਹਨੇ ਕਿਹੜਾ ਕੋਟ ਕਚਹਿਰੀ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਮਹਿੰਗੇ ਵਕੀਲਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਫੀਸਾਂ ਭਰ ਕੇ ਇਨਸਾਫ ਲੈ ਲੈਣਾ।
ਇਹ ਸੱਚ ਵੀ ਹੈ ਕੁਝ ਹੱਦ ਤਕ।     
ਓਸ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਦੀ ਧੀ ਤਾਂ ਹੁਣ ਵਾਪਿਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਣੀ , ਪਰ ਅੱਜ ਲੋੜ ਹੈ ਪੰਜਾਬੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਕਜੁੱਟ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਗਰੀਬ ਦੀ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਬਣਨ ਦੀ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਕੋਈ ਪੈਸੇ ਦਾ ਲਾਲਚ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਜਾਂ ਡਰਾ ਧਮਕਾ ਕੇ ਓਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਧੀ ਦੀ ਇੱਜ਼ਤ ਅਤੇ ਮੌਤ ਦੇ ਬਦਲੇ ਸਮਝੌਤਾ ਕਰਨ ਨੂੰ ਮਜਬੂਰ ਨਾ ਕਰੇ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਜੇ ਉਸ ਗਰੀਬ ਨੂੰ ਇਨਸਾਫ਼ ਨਾ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਕਿਤੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਹ ਪਿਰਤ ਹੀ ਨਾ ਪੈ ਜਾਵੇ। ਸੋ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਜ਼ਰੂਰਤ ਐ ਉਸ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਇਨਸਾਫ਼ ਦੇਣ ਦੀ। ਉੱਥੇ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਲੋੜ ਐ ਕਿ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੋਸ਼ੀਆ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਸਾਲੀ ਸਜ਼ਾਵਾਂ ਮਿਲਣ।
  ਸੋ ਸਮੂਹ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਭਾਈਚਾਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਅਪੀਲ  ਹੈ ਕਿ ਆਓ ਇਸ ਗਰੀਬੜੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਦੀ ਆਰਥਿਕ ਮਦਦ ਕਰੀਏ, ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਗਰੀਬ ਤੇ ਬੇਬਸ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਤੁਰ ਗਈ ਧੀ ਦੇ ਇਨਸਾਫ਼ ਦੀ ਲੜਾਈ ਲੜ ਸਕੇ ਤੇ ਪਿਛੇ ਰਹਿ ਗਈਆਂ ਉਸ ਬਦਨਸੀਬ ਦੀਆਂ ਭੈਣਾਂ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਬਣਾ ਸਕੇ।

In the photo above you can see a mothers pain. A pain that will last a lifetime.......

This cause is for a crime that is unimaginable, but has been committed against a helpless 6 year girl in a village in India called Salimpur/Jalalpur, Tanda.

A mother in this small village frantically looking for her daughter at about 3:00pm in the afternoon after being told she was led away by a man. She had just gone to the grocery store and her two daughters were at their home playing. One of the daughters told her mom that a man had led her sister away by hand and she has not come back yet.

Searching and searching throughout the alleys and homes in the village she learned that her daughter was allegedly raped and burned alive. Her six year old baby burned alive!

It was discovered that this child endured these crimes by a grandfather and his grandson who reside within the same village and very close to the victims home.

The culprits tried telling this girl’s family that the 6 year old girl lit herself on fire.

The small village is shaken over this tragedy. The thought of this family and this innocent girl’s siblings will remember forever what happened to their sister that day. From happily playing and then within minutes not knowing you sibling is being led away to have something so cruel committed is just heartbreaking.

This small village is not filled with luxuries as we are used to having. They live a very simple life and stay content with what little they have. For them family is life and to lose a member so tragically is devasting.

We know money can’t bring back time and erase this horrendous crime but we wanted to do something so that this family can at least educate their children and not struggle. We are raising funds so that the family doesn’t have the additional stress and pressure of having to pay for these girl’s education. We want to give an opportunity to these girls to build a future for themselves and become educated and independent as this tragedy will forever haunt them for the rest of their lives.
